2. SAFETY ISSUES
2.1 Firing Point no. 6
A yellow, fluorescent vest must be worn by the person firing at this 100m point. He is required to check that the 100m, 50m and 25m ranges are clear and confirm this to the Range Officer. The Range Officer may then allow firing to proceed. He is not required to check the targets himself as this would only create delays.
2.2 Weapons
Apart from the period when targets are being checked for the results, at no time must a weapon be left at the firing point without it's owner being present. Any weapon left unattended may be removed by the Range Officer and the firing point declared open for another person.
PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE WEAPONS ON THE POINT OCCUPYING A FIRING POINT
2.3 Loading
Magazines must not be loaded and left on the point whilst targets are being checked
2.4 Protocol
A round of firing will comprise 5 rounds unless there is prior agreement from the Range Officer.
2.5 End of Session
1) You are requested to remove your targets and to return the target supports.
2) All casings must be taken away or placed in the bins provided
3) Your firing point must be left clean and clear at the end of each session
2.6 Smoking
There is to be no smoking whatsoever at the firing points.
Cigarette ends are untidy and a fire risk, so for the rest of the site please ensure that they are placed in the bins provided and not on the floor.
